I think this is neat! Last week, Mercury, Venus and the Moon all appeared very close together in the sky. This picture was taken behind equipment at the Australia Telescope Compact Array near Narrabri in rural New South Wales. These cool planetary alignments occur every few years. This picture was taken just before sunrise on March 6. Mercury is the highest of the three objects.
