Art Reproduction

It is always enjoyable to browse art sites and contemplate just the right addition to your collection. Perhaps a quality oil reproduction or even a custom oil painting created just for you from a favorite photograph might be your next acquisition. These are known as canvas photos, I believe, and I have always wanted to try this. I have a few very special photos that would look wonderful on my living room wall.

If this sounds like something you need to know more about, here is where you need to go. Photo-Print-on-Canvas.com is a really neat site. Easy to navigate and full of great features. You can even select the style you want your photo recreated as.

Here is an example from the gallery on their site. I really like this effect.

There are many different things you can do. Do you have photos from a favorite vacation that belong on your wall? Are you saving those wonderful photos from your children’s babyhoods that you would love to display? How about remembering your wedding day with a canvas photo? There are so many great applications for this!

Take a look at their site! Free photo editing – free shipping – Money back guarantee! Can’t beat this!

California Outlaws Homeschooling

I just read an unsettling article at the Infoshop News about the State of California’s latest attack on homeschoolers.

It seems that a California appeals court ruling has clamped down on homeschooling parents who are teaching without teaching credentials. This sent shock waves across the state this week, leaving an estimated 166,000 children as possible truants and their parents at the risk of prosecution.

California law requires parents to either send their children to full time public or private schools or have them taught by credentialed tutors at home.

This article goes into many details that are both unsettling and alarming about the moves made by the State of California. Any parent really should look at it to be aware of basic rights that are being stripped.

Skin care for men

Men need to take care of their skin too. Too often it seems that men are not encouraged to do more than splash water on their faces after they shave.

Time to focus on men’s skin care for a few minutes. Anthony.com is stepping up and filling in a gap that has needed attention for a long time — the men’s skin care market. Take a look at this site. I don’t think you can help but appreciate these products.

From their site:

Anthony Logistics For Men is a multi-functional, multi-benefit, nature based personal care system of skincare, bath and body products designed for men.

Also:

Focusing solely on the needs of men, a percentage of Anthony For Men proceeds is donated to charities in support of the Fight Against Prostate Cancer. One in six men will develop prostate cancer in their lifetime. This support is highlighted on all of our packaging with the Fight against Prostate Cancer’s signature blue ribbon.

Anthony.com is a complete skin care site featuring anti-aging products, body essential products, hair care, sun care, razors, as well as a nice special section where you can pick up some great deals! Men – either shop here for yourself, or send your wives to this site. You won’t be sorry!

Picture of the Day

iss015e10471_c800.jpg

Today is the equinox. This event marks the first day of spring in the northern hemisphere and autumn in the south. Equinox means equal night and with the Sun on the celestial equator, folks will experience almost 12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of darkness. Of course, for those in the north, the days will grow longer with the sun rising higher in the sky as summer approaches. To celebrate the equinox, enjoy this view of the setting Sun. This picture was taken last June from the International Space Station. The Sun’s still peeks above the distant horizon as seen from Earth orbit.
