Food Riots Coming to America?

If this is your first visit, please consider subscribing to my RSS feed. That way you'll be sure not to miss a thing!

I hope that I can write this and get this message across without sounding like a crazy alarmist. The simple fact is that I absolutely believe that my headline is a reality for America. This is coming…and we need to prepare.

Let’s just focus for a minute on the most recent difficulties that have presented themselves to America’s farmers.

  • Crop plantings were delayed because of a cool spring. Sowing as late as June 20 reduces harvest by 50%. Where crops were not delayed, cold stunted their growth and they were unable to cope with the ensuing flood.
  • Floods, hail and tornadoes have relentlessly beaten America’s breadbasket. Drought is killing California’s agricultural belt and crops in the Southeast as well.
  • The dwindling bee population has added to crop decline.
  • Grain reserves are non-existent.
  • Wheat that hasn’t drowned or fried is being attacked by rust and head scab.
  • Mysterious circumstances surround grain elevators burning and collapsing and this further escalates food costs. Other elevators are flooded and grain is rotting.
  • Australia is one of world’s largest food suppliers and has been struck by the worst drought in 100 years. A new report says Australia can expect more frequent, more severe droughts. There are now fears of a locust plague on crops.

Daily news is addressing the rampant concerns over rice, wheat, corn and soybean shortages. Now food rationing and hoarding is starting to creep into reality.

Fuel costs are expected to hit $150/barrel soon and after that $200/barrel or even $250/barrel is not out of the realm of possibility. Obviously, there will come a point when truckers are not going to be able to continue to make a living and simply have to shut down. Many truckers are already operating perilously close to bankruptcy.

Food shortages are threatening to become the biggest crisis of the 21st century…food riots are not just something that happens in other countries anymore.

Bottom line: Stock up now! Start buying in bulk! Buy the foods you regularly consume that can be safely stored. The longer you delay the higher the prices will be when you do finally decide that this is a good idea. If you wait, your options will dwindle and your selection as well.

Please do this before your options are limited!

Don’t Let The Heat Win - A/C Compressors For All

Summer is here, huh? I remember back when I was a kid the windows in the backseat of our car only went down about 2/3 of the way - it was a safety design of the day. There was no such thing as a/c for automobiles yet so we kids sat in the backseat with our windows down as far as they would go and tried to be as windblown as possible to keep cool. I don’t remember anything bad about this, actually…kids deal with heat better than adults, I think.

Fastforward to present day and I could tell some horror stories from a few summers back when the a/c compressor went out in our minivan. It was absolutely HORRIBLE until we got it fixed! I think a/c is especially necessary in vans due to different circulation because of the lack of windows opening.

If your air conditioning compressor is failing you this summer, then Discount AC Parts.com is the site to head over to. They have a complete line of ac compressors for all car models. Best of all - all compressors come with a full warranty and free shipping! Very easily navigated site that will provide for every ac compressor need!
