It is becoming increasingly apparent that Iran is very close to attaining the means to use missiles against all of Europe, as well as attacks against the US in five – six years.

Lt. Gen. Henry A. Obering III recently spoke in Prague trying to convince the Czech Parliament to approve a US missile defense installation in their territory. Obering was warning against opposing this plan to build a radar base near Prague. This is part of a missile shield the US says would defend against threats from Iran.

There is an urgency to getting this scheduled.

The Czech Parliament has begun debating an agreement to give the US permission for construction. The Czech government has agreed to the deal but an agreement still must be approved by both houses of Parliament.

For the bill to pass the government will need votes from opposition parties. These groups have harshly criticized the plan. The vote will likely take place next year.
