I have had my current laptop for a month. (Hurricane Ike ate the old one) I went with a MacBook Pro with 4 gb of memory and a Time Capsule to keep large projects I'm working on. So far I've loved it.

Thanks for that reminder, Windmill! It's been a while since I've been in there looking at what is starting automatically. I'm off to prune a bunch of stuff now!

Hi!

I read your Post and here is a possible solution for your memory shortage.

1. Open RUN and type in msconfig
2. Select tab STARTUP
3. Click on empty boxes to disable startup programs and TSR (terminate stay resident) programs that wallop a good bit of your RAM whenever you start your Computer.

I am sure you have weighed and considered changing your present laptop hard disk to a larger size. Also increasing your RAM size. These are the best times to take advantage of computer hardware price drops. Prices have never hit lows like it is now in a long, long time.

Cheers!
