Octuplets for California Mother

A southern California mother has given birth to octuplets. The women had six boys and two girls at Kaiser Permanante Bellflower Medical Center in Southern California. The hospital had originally scheduled the cesarean section expecting only seven babies. The eighth baby was a surprise to all. Each of the babies weighed between 1.8 and 3.4 pounds.

”The babies are all doing well and the mom is also doing well. There were no complications from the surgery to the best of my knowledge,” said Dr. Harold Henry, chief of maternal and fetal medicine at the hospital.

Maybe the new mom and dad could use new Corum watches to keep track of all those baby schedules! Yikes!

Slumdog Millionaire Is Getting Some Attention

Slumdog Millionaire is the little movie that made a big splash this year. Not only has it won awards and critical acclaim…but most recently it has earned ten Oscar nominations.

While it is not the movie that got the most nominations, it has gotten quite a lot considering its small budget and unknown cast. Its nominations include Best Picture, Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay.

Strangely, Slumdog Millionaire almost was a straight to DVD release. Time to pop some popcorn and get comfy in the home theatre seating and see this one!
