Solar Energy is the Future of Energy

Filed under Technology, This and That

Solar energy may be expensive to purchase and install, but the good news is that after the initial expense there is very little cost associated with use. This definitely makes this an attractive source of energy as we watch energy costs continue to rise.

In addition, advances in technology are making solar energy more affordable as time goes on. Expect more and more people to turn to the use of technology like solar energy just out of basic necessity.

Solar energy systems are self-contained to provide the power requirements of the individual user. There will be no monthly electric bills and the system may actually end up transfering excess electricity to the power grid. There is nothing to purchase because unit runs itself.

Not only is this good for the environment because there are no fossil fuels being consumed there are also no CO2 emissions with the use of solar power!

Google Mars 3D

google-mars-3dNASA and Google have just released a new Mars mode in Google Earth that delivers a high-resolution, three-dimensional view of the Red Planet to user’s desktops.

Not only does this give a great 3D view of Mars, this new Google Mars 3D also provides a way to share data similar to the way Google Earth works.

Users can fly virtually through canyons and climb huge mountains on Mars that are much bigger than any found on Earth. Users also can explore Mars through the eyes of the Mars rovers and other Mars missions.

Users can see some of the latest satellite imagery from NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter as well. This new Mars mode also allows users to add their own 3D content to the Mars map to share with the world.
