The weekend is here at last! We’re getting snow in the Midwest. Up to 7 inches so they say. The birds are active at my birdfeeders this morning while the snow floats down lightly. It is pretty, but I’m ready for spring. How about you?
While I sit and contemplate winter morphing into spring, here is some good news for you! Enjoy!
Baby Girl’s Vision Restored Against All Odds
Febi Hanna was born 3 months early in Egypt. She was born with scar tissue in her eyes. Doctors said she was blind and that she would never see.
Febi has now undergone five surgeries and in one year she has accomplished far more than any of her doctors expected. Febi can now see objects and can even identify her mother.
Febi will return to Egypt later this month and will come back here to the US for check ups.

Event Encourages Shoppers to Give Back and Receive Discounts
Stein Mart along with The Salvation Army is sponsoring a “Give & Receive” event.
This event gives shoppers a way to donate clothing to support others while at the same time receiving savings on new spring fashions.
Customers can bring clean, gently used garments in good condition to any Stein Mart store during the Give & Receive event, scheduled for March 5-7. For every item donated, donors will receive a coupon for 20% off any item. The items donated will go to The Salvation Army’s Thrift and Family Stores. Many of these stores have reported up to a 20-percent decrease in donations over the past year.
