Celebrating In a New Way

Continuing the anniversary discussion, I admit I have been thinking about a cruise for our next anniversary. We’ve never been on a cruise and a twentieth anniversary seems like the perfect one to commemorate with a cruise.

Something I had not thought about is European cruises. I would love to see Europe in this way. It just seems like such an unstressful way to travel through the continent and see various countries that are connected by water.

If you’ve done this, what was it like?

Marriage Milestones

My husband and I just celebrated our 19th anniversary a few days ago. That seems like such a big number! Next year’s will seem even bigger, I’m sure.

I was looking at our wedding rings with an objective eye in light of our recent anniversary…and it occurred to me that it might be neat to update them next year in honor of our twentieth anniversary. Now I just have to convince him to come shopping with me to look at all the beautifully modern engagement rings that are available now. Better yet…I think we’ll shop online, instead!

Getting Ready for Warm Weather

Getting ready for warmer weather yet? I admit I am definitely thinking and dreaming about putting on a few less layers of clothing and venturing outside once again.

Many people begin to think about losing weight this time of year as the prospect of shorts and swim suits can be a terrifying thought for some. I’m sure that many a diet pill and piece of exercise equipment has been purchased to get ready for spring and summer coming.

What are you doing to get yourself ready to shed some layers? Are you cleaning up your diet? Trying to exercise more? How are you motivating yourself?

Fences Make Good Neighbors

We have an elderly couple that live right next door to us. The gentleman is an avid birder and the woman is an avid gardener. The combination of an elderly couple with hobbies like this and my family with a bunch of kids who like playing active games outside (usually involving a ball of some sort) have led us to the realization that we really need to look into fence installation to preserve everyone’s sanity.

They’ll be happy with the lack of balls in their yard, I’ll be happy not to hear about balls going into their yard, and the kids will be happy to have a nice tall fence to bounce their balls off of.

More Evidence of Water on Mars

Scientists have found evidence supporting the belief that water has likely played a significant role in shaping the Martian landscape.

There seems to be multiple wet and/or icy climate cycles that have shaped the planet’s large craters.

Scientists surveyed the geologic features in two sets of mid-latitude craters. Each set included about 100 craters, with the first set in the Arabia Terra region of the northern hemisphere and the second set in an area east of Hellas basin in the southern hemisphere.

My kids love hearing about these new developments in space exploration. They pulled me away from my explorations of Hansgrohe faucets to tell me about this! Thought I would share.
