Egypt Finds Evidence of Unfinished Ancient Tomb

Egyptian archaeologists have completed excavations on an unfinished ancient tunnel they believe was meant to connect a 3,300-year-old pharaoh’s tomb with a secret burial site.
The tunnel was discovered in 1960 and is just now completely cleared. Archaeologists found ancient figurines, pottery and instructions left by the architect for the workmen.
Pharaoh Seti I (1314-1304 B.C.) was a founder of the New Kingdom’s 19th Dynasty. His tomb is famous for its colorful paintings. Seti’s son Ramses II built temples and statues of himself everywhere. Archaeologists speculate that the tunnel and secret tomb were not finished because of the pharoah’s death.

To this day most of us are still intrigued with Egyptian history.How they managed the complex organisation of labour and the construction of the large stone blocks is still a matter for debate.
