Jay Shapiro, an advertising pioneer who sold his company to travel the world, designed the EcoRoamer as his family’s traveling home. Shapiro is traveling with his wife, two cats, and his two kids starting in Alaska, heading down to the bottom of South America and then over to Africa. From there, they’ll head into Europe, through Russia to Mongolia and Asia.

Shapiro is traveling the planet without damaging it. The EcoRoamer is at the forefront of a growing movement to tread lightly and “use what you know to do good as you go.”

The living space is built from recycled materials and the truck uses solar panels for most of its auxiliary power.
