No one knows how the 3 month old puppy got up on top of the Norfolk Southern train bound for Atlanta.
Tina Parker and her family were driving home Sunday night when they stopped at a red light, watching the train pass by. Parker saw what she thought was garbage on top of the train. Then when the garbage moved, and she realized it was a dog.
The fire department arrived and used a ladder to reach the puppy on the top of the boxcar. The cars were about 20-feet tall.
The puppy has been taken in by her rescuers, the Parker family. They named the puppy Boxcar Hunter.
