Nicole Brobeck, 28, met Curtis Braxton at a living skills program for disabled adults. The two became fast friends, spending hours chatting with each other on the telephone each evening. One thing led to another and they were planning a wedding with lots of help from vendors.

Brobeck and Braxton are unusual. It is unusual for adults with developmental disabilities to date and it is even more unusual for them to marry. The living skills program they both participated in encourages healthy dating. This wedding is only the third between participants in 30 years.
